2008 Grand Prix in Baku.
How did you start your chess career?
When I was 4 years my father taught me how to play chess. I was 5 years old when I participated in my first tournament. Then I was unstoppable.
What’s best game you have ever played? / Do you have a memorable game?
My game against Ivan Bukavshin in 2015 World Cup. I eliminated him, it was a big success. I’ll remember it for many many years.
Who is your favourite chess player?
Fischer.
In which foreign chess leagues do you play?
Spain, Croatia, Turkey. I played in France and Serbia before.
Do you support a team (football, basketball etc.)? Which team?
FC Barcelona.
What is your chess training routine?
I train 6-7 hours per day. I train for a couple of hours in the morning, I do fitness and sports and then I repeat the same in the evening.
Is there anything you learned from chess that comes in handy in real life?
I think it helps in taking decisions.
What are your hobbies?
Sports: watching and playing football, tennis... all kinds of sports. I like to read sometimes.
