I think the league is getting better each year. In general, the organization is very good. In Turkey, organizations are always great, always good. We Azerbaijanis and Turks have the same food, same language that’s why we love being here.
What is the best organization you have ever participated?
Last year’s Shamkir Super Tournament.
How did you start your chess career?
I started playing chess when 7 years old at school.

It’s fantastic! I’ve played here for the 3rd time and it’s getting better and better. The hotel is really good, the playing hall is spacious and everything’s fantastic!
What is the best organization you have ever participated?
2008 Grand Prix in Baku.
How did you start your chess career?
When I was 4 years my father taught me how to play chess. I was 5 years old when I participated in my first tournament. Then I was unstoppable.

Excellent organization, excellent playing hall, excellent food… All was made very good for players.
What is the best organization you have ever participated?
2006 Melody Amber Rapid and Blindfold tournament in Monaco.
How did you start your chess career?
My father taught me chess when I was a kid.
What’s best game you have ever played? / Do you have a memorable game?
I have at least 10, but from this league my favourite was the one against GM Boris Savchenko.

I found the city and the hotel very good this year. It was really good playing in İzmir. Though we did not have any time to have fun or to see around, I think İzmir was a good choice. I’d be happy if you organize it here again next year.

How do you find the organization of the 2016 Turkish İs Bank Super Chess League?
Most conditions are very good; the hotel is fine. I think the only thing I suggest to the Federation to think about to change the schedule, to avoid the double rounds in such a high level organization. Other than that, I think the system is very interesting, teams can play with kids that is very interesting.

How do you find the organization of the 2016 Turkish İş Bank Super Chess League?
I think organization is fantastic! It is the best league organization! Here all the teams stay in the same hotel, this is fantastic, because every team has the same conditions. And then the hotel is fantastic. There are many tournaments where there is a very bad hotel, the food is really bad, you can’t sleep because someone is disturbing… This one is simply perfect.
What is the best organization you have ever participated?
It’s very hard to say, depends on many things. There is a big difference between leagues and other tournaments. As a team competition, this is one of the best organizations I have ever participated. |

How do you find the organization of the 2016 Turkish İş Bank Super Chess League?
It’s quite decent I would say. There are refreshments during the game. The playing hall is spacious, all games are broadcasted live and this year there’s also live commentary. The open buffet in the hotel is quite good. I think Turkish Chess Federation did a great job this year.
What is the best organization you have ever participated?
Qatar Open 2015.
How did you start your chess career?
My father taught me how to play chess when I was 4, and my mother took me to the local chess club when I was 6 years old.
